Science Olympiad was my introduction to electrical engineering in 9th grade. Through this competition, I learned how to build circuits, work with Arduinos, and calibrate sensors using linear regression. With four years of experience in the Detector Building event, I learned to work with LEDs, circuitry, and temperature, salinity, and force sensors, while winning state and national competitions including Princeton, Harvard-Brown, and National Invitational.
